About Me

"I am a wife, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, a friend. I am a psychologist, photographer, nonprofit executive, volunteer, kayaker, blogger, and mother to Maddie and Maynerd. I am a children's book author, mentor, leader, home chef, and honorary bohemian. I am an artist, saxophonist, hiker, explorer and writer.

Yet, none of my titles or positions or lineage fully describes me. I am a complex being who loves the beauty of nature, exploring and discovery. In this way, I bet that I am much like you."

Update March 2025

I am an explorer and wise woman. I am entering Hagitude with curiosity and joy. I am on my soul's path and doing my life's work. I am retired and enjoying my retirement projects of healing and community building. And since I last updated this page, I am also the mother to Pumpkin and Bix.

About Us

Maddie, Maynerd, Pumpkin and Bix

So much about my life now revolves around my "little family" with my pups. Maddie was my dog angel and she was with me for 10 years before passing over the past October 2024. She is now with her daddy, sharing her beautiful soul and wisdom with the universe.

Maynerd is now the leader of the pack. As the "old man" at 7 years of age, he remains a loving, caring pup who is a lover and not a fighter. He is protective of his family, but loves everyone. He teaches me how to see the good in everyone.

Pumpkin is my "big girl" and the sweetest dog you could ever meet. She is serene and loving. She is a survivor from living on the street. She is a happy pup being true to herself. Pumpkin teaches quiet lessons of overcoming hardships and remaining true to yourself.

Bix is the baby of the pack. He was named after Bix Beiderbecke and exemplifies the joy of jazz. He is able to play and get along with every member of the pack, bringing on the positive energy and love from his siblings (and his momma). Bix teachers us all about the wild joy of just being alive!

I'm not lost. I'm exploring.
